And if you’re building a great truck, you start with a solid foundation. Every Silverado

features a hydroformed front frame. Hydroforming — the injection of hydraulic fluids

under extreme high pressure to reform metal into curved shapes — allows for fewer

welds and better fits. The front portion of the frame is fully boxed for extra rigidity.

The rear portion of the Silverado frame is fully boxed all the way to the spare tire

cross member, where it becomes a C-channel. The result? A Crew Cab can haul up to

1,937 lbs. of payload

with the available MAX Trailering Pack.
