Silverado HD Work Truck will never complain that

the day’s too long. Or the job’s too hard. Or there’s

just too much to do. That work ethic comes from

the structural integrity of a high-strength steel

frame and wide rear leaf springs that can handle

up to 6,635 lbs.

Under the hood, the Vortec 6.0L

V8 provides plenty of muscle. Or you can choose

the available Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 engine.

With 397 horsepower and 765 lb.-ft. of torque, it

makes this our most powerful heavy-duty ever.

And every Work Truck (WT) has a removable

tailgate and a strong, stamped box that’s more

than four-feet wide with stake pockets, two-

tier loading capability and four cargo tie-downs.

Speaking of boxes, Extended Cab and Crew Cab

models offer either a 6.5- or 8-foot long box for

plenty of hauling capability. Looks like someone’s

ready for a 70-hour workweek.

Every HD 4x4 model can easily accommodate a snow plow

with the available Snow Plow Prep Package, thanks in part to

massive precision-machined forged control arms and a Front

Gross Axle Weight Rating of up to 6,000 lbs. And unlike Ford

or Dodge, Silverado HD incorporates torsion bars that allow

an owner to easily adjust the front of the vehicle back to its

normal ride height, even with the weight of a plow attached.
