OVERVIEW
Cruze carries powerful momentum into 2013 with an array of
improvements and new features designed to keep it at the top
of the segment. This year Cruze is offered in LS manual (1SA),
LS automatic (1SB), 1LT manual (1SC), 1LT automatic (1SD),
Eco manual (1SE), Eco automatic (1SF), 2LT manual (1SG), 2LT
automatic (1SH) and LTZ automatic (1SJ).
WHAT’S NEW
• Equipment group packaging revised to match trim
and transmission.
• New audio systems – (UP9) and (UFU) Chevrolet MyLink audio
system, with a Color Touch AM/FM stereo and (UHQ) Color
Touch AM/FM stereo with Navigation.
• New driver alert features – (UFG) Rear Cross Traffic Alert, (UCV)
Rear Vision Camera and (UFT) Side Blind Zone Alert.
• (MH9) 6-speed automatic transmission on LS automatic 1SB.
• (FV1) 3.72 final drive axle ratio.
• New packages – (PCR) Technology Package, (PCW) Enhanced
Safety Package, (PDB) 1LT Driver Convenience Package and
(PDD) 2LT Driver Convenience Package.
• Deleted package – (PCP) Connectivity Package (content now
standard on LS 1SA and 1SB).
• (PDC) 1LT/1XF Driver Convenience Package now called Eco
Driver Convenience Package.
• Three new exterior colors – Cyber Gray Metallic, Champagne
Silver Metallic and Atlantis Blue Metallic.
• Deletions – (UEW) audio system, (FX6) 3.87 final drive axle ratio,
chrome belt moldings on LS, and exterior colors Blue Granite
Metallic, Gold Mist Metallic and Ice Blue Metallic.
TOP TEN FEATURES
1. Midsize roominess and features in a compact car – A
midsize by EPA standards, Cruze has more interior room
than most of its competitors and more cargo capacity
than Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Ford Focus and Hyundai
Elantra. Plus, Cruze offers upscale amenities such as
Bluetooth for Phone, premium audio and 18" wheels.
2. Eco model – Delivers impressive 28 mpg city and
segment-leading 42 mpg highway fuel economy thanks
to aerodynamic improvements, weight reduction,
powertrain modifications, and lower front grille with “active
aerodynamics” which uses a small electric motor to open a
grille air shutter at low speeds and close it at higher speeds.
3. 1.4L turbo engine – Now with new RPO code (LUV), delivers
the fuel efficiency of a small displacement I4 engine and the
low-end torque (148 lb.-ft. at 1850 rpm) of a larger engine.
It is engineered to virtually eliminate turbo lag. This 138 hp
engine has a 100,000-mile tuning interval.
4. Impressive safety – Cruze is equipped with 10 standard air
bags along with standard StabiliTrak, Traction Control, ABS
with Brake Assist and OnStar.
